Welcome to BTC TIDES!

Non-Custodial Bitcoin Mining Pool with Transparent Share Accounting

No registration required, no pool operator wallets, direct coinbase payouts to miners.

Non-Custodial Mode: This pool runs in Non-Custodial mode, meaning all payouts are paid directly from the coinbase transaction to your Bitcoin address. The pool operator never holds your funds.
Note: You must use a valid Bitcoin (BTC) address as your username — legacy (starts with 1), P2SH (starts with 3), or native SegWit/Bech32 (starts with bc1) formats are all accepted. Invalid addresses will be rejected.

Configuration:

We run six Bitcoin mining endpoints across three difficulty tiers, each available in Solo or Collab mode:

Low Solo / Low Collab — Small & Variable Difficulty Miners

High Solo / High Collab — Bitaxe / NerdAxe Tier

ASIC Solo / ASIC Collab — S9 → S19/S21 Tier

Which Pool Should I Use?

Pick the tier matching your hardware's approximate hashrate:

Mode Assumed HW
btc-low-solo / btc-low-collab phone ~30KH/s → nerdminer ~1-2MH/s
btc-high-solo / btc-high-collab Bitaxe/NerdAxe ~400GH/s–1.2TH/s
btc-asic-collab / btc-asic-solo S9→S19/S21 ~10TH/s–300TH/s

Set your username to your Bitcoin address with any or even no worker extension, and any password.

Example for BTC Low Solo :

cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://btc.melanin.network:3031 -u 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1 -p x

Example for BTC Low Collab :

cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://btc.melanin.network:3032 -u 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1 -p x

Example for BTC High Solo:

cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://btc.melanin.network:3033 -u 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1 -p x

Example for BTC High Collab:

cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://btc.melanin.network:5031 -u 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1 -p x

Example for BTC ASIC Solo:

cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://btc.melanin.network:5033 -u 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1 -p x

Example for BTC ASIC Collab:

cpuminer -o stratum+tcp://btc.melanin.network:5032 -u 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1 -p x

Or in your ASIC miner's configuration boxes:

Pool: btc.melanin.network

Port: 5032 (ASIC Collab), or 5033 (ASIC Solo)

Username: 1rLx7uHF4A4hscXg2MPeqxP5AesTGa4ut.worker1

Password (ignored): x

If you enter an invalid Bitcoin address, you will be rejected.

Advantages of Non-Custodial Mode:

Suitable for:

Transaction Selection Transparency:

This pool does not filter any transactions and uses default Bitcoin Node transaction selection. Live monitoring of the current transactions can be done at any time by examining the following URL:

pool.txns

This can also be used to monitor the likelihood of your personal transactions being mined in the next block.

As this uses a moderate amount of bandwidth, please minimize your usage of this to avoid the need to disable this service.

FAQ:

Q: When do I get paid?

A: You receive payment directly in the coinbase transaction when the pool finds a block. Your share of the reward is proportional to your contribution in the rolling share window.

Q: What if my payout is below the dust limit (546 satoshis)?

A: Your shares remain in the rolling window and accumulate. You'll be included in the next block's payout if your accumulated reward exceeds the dust limit.

Q: Why aren't my mining statistics showing up?

A: Each pool has a minimum difficulty set for its tier. If your hashrate doesn't match the tier (see table above), your shares may take longer to be detected. Pick the pool matching your hardware for the fastest results.

Q: What hashrate do I need?

A: See the hashrate table above. The Low tier accepts very low hashrate devices (phones, nerdminers). The High tier is tuned for Bitaxe/NerdAxe-class hardware. The ASIC tier is tuned for full ASIC miners (S9 through S19/S21 class).
